Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Why would you think that?
When i search for what people think about Kenya all i find are "It's wonderful." or "Kenya is amazing.". I can't afford to travel there to see for myself so i have to trust them.

Huh I guess on travel vlogs it's like that but yk what they say about not trusting everything you see on the internet. I'm surprised you don't hear about all the starving people or shitty water situations first but I guess charities just say "Africa"™ for westerns. Although I also suppose you might have seen alot of people here also try to act like that side isn't prevalent at all and try to prove they have appliances. To be blunt there's a massive wealth disparity here you can go buy A5 beef sushi here and you can find a child bathing in sewer water here too, at the end of the day it's a third world country where suicide was just recently (2025) deemed not illegal it's not progressive at all with low mental health resources and suffers from political corruption, politicians appealing towards the US. I recommend looking at r/Kenya or any other African countries you're interested in on Reddit it's probably the only place you'll see actual people from said countries talking about their situations in English a decent amount of times too. Although it is Reddit meaning there's a decent chance there'll be some bigotry too.

Edit/additionally: It's really baffling you thought that though??? Like no offence but even if you hear good things from people like surely you read the news right? Kenya was in the Epstein files, like it was his first stop amongst many of the other African countries, North Africa (because yk UAE, oil etc) included. It has so many goddamn leads to human trafficking, child labour, humanitarian violations I think if you look at any news website and search Kenya among those topics will be first things you'll be seeing. Maybe I simply have a different perspective on this because since I'm not from a 1st world country I don't get to have some solid consensus on my politics without actively trying to search for it and more instead of just hearing from my dad about "yeah Bush fucking ruined the states." As he wags his fist.

If what you say is true i understand OP and the other people here from Kenya in feeling hopeless. I hope and pray that change is coming so the living conditions get at least a little bit better. Getting news from far distant countries like Kenya is not that easy here in Germany since most news outlets are very left leaning and they never criticize non-white countries out of the fear of being called racists or bigots.

It's okay to be a little bit teacher-esque if you know more about something (especially from personal experience) than the other in a discussion about serious topics.
Also nobody can belittle me ... because that's what i already do daily.
