As ridiculous as it may seem, Star Trek has saved my life on perhaps 3 occasions. I had a very firm plan to ctb then I discovered they were going to release a new reboot of star trek in the cinema (2009 I think). I think I was so excited to see Leonard Nimoy play Spock again, as daft as it sounds I held on, got properly diagnosed and got better than I ever could have imagined, for a time. Now I've managed to hold on long enough that I may see the first series of Picard. I don't know quite how but I did. I'm not sure about the 2nd series. Hopefully I will get to see it in its entirety. I'm a big nerd!
Anyone else find that the universe seems to throw small morsels of joy towards them once in a while? I mean as motivation to stay around it's pretty pathetic I suppose. At least my "friends" from the 24th century will be around again making things seem a bit less bleak. :-)
