Anyone from Africa here ?

I'm not from Africa, I'm from Europe. But I've never seen anyone saying he or she comes from Africa here.
Is SaSu banned on this continent ? I know there are a lot of suicides in Africa.

There seems to be less of us here but It isn't banned, atleast not where I am at. Probably because the site isn't mentioned much on mainstream medias and most people just go with methods they've heard of rather than researching a method to end up here.

I've found one of the reasons in an online article which says : (I've translated it from french to english)

"In 2024, only 38% of the African population was connected to the internet, compared to a global average of 68%. Africa remains the least connected region on the planet. This situation highlights the structural and economic challenges that many African countries still need to overcome to ensure equitable and widespread access to digital technologies"

All my thoughts to African people who wtruggle with depression / suicidal ideation. Beautiful countries but corruption ruined the continent. Shame.

I'm from there originally and was very happy to find SaSu online when looking for methods (not banned where I was). Asked chatgpt the other day about suicide stats, and Lesotho ranked number 1 p/100k at the time, Swaziland third (small populations) and South Africa 10th. Screenshots FYI


Given the high number of cases in the US, I asked it to add population data and stats for the US and UK.


And got the following notes:


And about Lesotho:


Every country is unique, but I think in many and especially in rural areas, conditions may be similar to those as mentioned for Lesotho.
