Dating is all on apps where you have to have a good height and face just for a chance to even talk to a woman. You can't even get in the door anymore.
When I had a long distance relationship I was happy and didn't want to CTB. Now I've learned it was a fluke, women don't find me attractive, and dating apps are the main venue now and there's no gym for your height and face.

I've never used dating apps nor do I really look at relationships on social media as that can definitely distort reality on what you need to get a partner.
Also for the question, I would much rather be single than be in a terrible relationships, so that just depends on the person I guess. Though I don't have much to add to that because I've never been in a relationship in my life.

The problem is most women my age mostly use swipe apps to date and don't have an interest in the bottom %80 of men. There's no way to improve on being short or having an ugly face. I think these apps should be banned.

Dating apps are businesses looking to exploit lonely people for money. It would be better to find a partner the old fashioned way but nowadays it's very difficult due to how digital everything is. Though I wouldn't do that either because I don't have the confidence lol.

Well, it's rough out there. But I still think that having a partner shouldn't be the thing that decides whether you want to ctb or not. Since there is so much else in life. Also I think CTB is only a real option if life is unbearable, not having a partner doesn't make life unbearable necessarily.

Ah, but that's just my old viewpoints, you are probably much younger then me and maybe don't relate.

Summed it up perfectly.

While you are dying of thirst in a desert on dating apps, women are drowning in a swamp. A lot of "women" there are bots, and for most of the time, they will not even see your account, because the ratio women to men is crazy. While at the same time app is trying to get money from you promising you hundreds of matches and love or whatever. On the other hand, women are being bombarded with attention, so they either have to stop replying/swiping after 5 swipes, or get extremely picky.
Personally, I'd recommend other means of getting to know another person. Social media groups, video games, real life concerts etc. Of course depending on the vibe.
I feel that nowadays it's incredibly easy to fall into men vs women mindset in Today's system.

Going back to your question, I think I'd feel much better if my last relationship hasn't broken down, but it's less about a woman and more about a person i've already known. Even if a woman of my hypothetical dreams approached me now I wouldn't want to enter any relationship.
However if for a prolonged period of time you have been suffering from loneliness and been craving love, I totally understand you. Wanting to be love and be loved is a basic human need, and there's nothing wrong with needing that.
I hope you get to meet a likeminded person that will make you feel special.

No. The reason I'm suicidal is because I suffer from severe anhedonia and emotional blunting. I cannot feel oxytocin, love or connection anymore. My anhedonia also came with sexual dysfunction. If I had a partner, I still wouldn't feel any pleasure

Nothing else in life feels worthwhile without a partner in my experience. I don't feel complete or real. I lost interest in all my old hobbies because I realized I'd always be alone and not much is worth working for. I'll just LDAR

I have the height and the looks, but I lack something much more important... a brain that can socialize. So, yeah, it won't make a difference. I just want to die, that's all I wish for. Envious of you guys, at least you can talk to other men without having an anxiety attack. I can only speak to walls.

I thought this for a while when I was younger and lonelier, but I have a girlfriend and I'm still suicidal so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I think for most of us, there is something fundamentally wrong with our brains that can't really be fixed.

In my experience, no. I think i never had interest in romance/relationships at all. My problem is not with life itself, not with romance, not with family. My problem is with me, i caused all of this.

Why would I get one? People usually dream of being in a relationship, but I have absolutely nothing to offer. I don't even dream about it genuinely, because a person should deserve better. I'd have to spend tons of time to jump about 30 different hoops to even get close to the baseline of being a human, not even talking about qualifying to be competitive for a mate. Just "okay-ish" level to start, even that's far. And I'm too old to get a "girlfriend". Women my age have divorces and kids. I'll die alone.

i know that being single can be depressing. i know how bad the apps suck. i know how painful it is. get rid of them, they only will make you feel worse.

it's nonsense that women aren't interested in the bottom 80% of men. maybe in dating apps, but definitely not in real life. if that were true, then 80% of the women you see in your everyday life would be single. plus, studies show that women are less visually oriented when it comes to dating and attraction, compared to men.

you are making a lot of generalizing statements about women and their dating preferences. how many women do you interact with, in real life, on a daily basis? how many women are you friends with? like actual, close friends with? because most of my female friends are dating chopped dudes who are funny and kind.

i am saying this as an ugly, genuinely autistic, introvert who has never been successful on the apps. i know that attractive people have an easier time dating compared to me. i could either complain about it or improve my personality, since my looks aren't good. which option do you think is more attractive to women?

NOTHING is more unattractive to a woman than a resentful, self-pitying mindset. so i work hard to make as many friends as i can, and to be a kind, thoughtful, funny, reliable, and humble friend. i am genuinely interested in their life and well being. i put effort into being a good listener, asking them insightful questions, and helping them whenever i can. since doing this, i've been in multiple long term relationships and fwbs. i started out being friends with them and eventually they became interested in me, because of my personality.

please find a therapist to help you with your self esteem. and please get out there and interact with real human beings in real life. join a hobby group, or start volunteering, and attend every week. even better if you join multiple hobby groups. make a goal that you'll make a new friend every week. try this for a year and get back to me, you will be happier and more successful with dating. it won't come naturally at first, but you will get the hang of it over time. good luck

If I had someone who trusted me unconditionally and loved, supported, and cared for me; was curious about me, engaged & invested, sincere, patient, and got to know me: I definitely wouldn't be CTBing.

However, I'm basically asking for the perfect partner, which I can only enjoy in my maladaptive daydreams.

I've dated and had girlfriends, I didn't like them, it didn't work out, I was more miserable in those dynamics then outside of them. My favorite person and company is my own, everything I just described wanting is what I already am to myself, sure it would be nice for that to be externally recieved as well, but humans aren't like that, people aren't safe or consistent; I am my safety. I'm the only person who's stayed, I'm the only person invested, I'm the only person who unconditionally trust myself, I am the only person who takes care of me.

I really don't like people. A girlfriend would put me in a worse spot, it wouldn't be what I desire in external companionship, it would be dealing with the grating insecurity, entitlement, and lust of another human being. I just don't want to. Not worth it.

There was one woman I thought what I wanted was possible with and that I could manage all the challenges of a relationship because it would have been worth it and we would have been a team. She used me & I never saw her honestly while I was experiencing that crush, a real relationship between us would have been a dumpster fire of incompatibility.

No, I don't in the slightest.

Is loneliness a factor in how I feel on a day-to-day basis? Indeed, it is. I have a decent social life, especially with work. However, I've been on the other side of this as well, where I have had a girlfriend. It helped temporarily, at best. Regardless, at the end of the day, I still had those sorts of thoughts. It is no different than how I think today.
