Discussion Anyone else suffering from Scheuermann's disease?

I know this disease is rather rare, but I've noticed a few people on this forum who want to CTB because of it.

This genetic disease has a very short period for a possible treatment (only a few years). However, most people suffering from this know how extremely uninformed physicians are and despite how easily recognizable it is, you usually need to go to many doctors until you get a diagnosis. Sadly, then it is usually too late.

Are there any other SD sufferers waiting to get their well-deserved freedom?

Yup, even though I got lucky and it got treated, most of the time it can be only treated to a certain degree. So I still look ugly as fuck because of it ( in addition to other things hahaha). Yeah I really hope time passes quickly until July....

It can be actually treated fully, with certain methods, such as Schroth method... but doctors have ZERO clue

My curve is not noticeable at all, my back looks normal, yet I have severe constant and progressive pain

Man that really sucks to hear... pain is the worst. But hearing that it could've been treated fully... well just another reason to ctb haha

Exactly! No one understands when you tell them that the fact it could have been treated fully makes you wanna CTB 1000x more

Luck based Don't even tell me, that's the single WORST thing about this world

I was seen by two different doctors and it was SO close to getting diagnosed, it just needed such a small push of destiny to make it happen

I'm now doing everything I can to have revenge on these doctors, sending complaints, writing bad reviews, suing them... but does it matter? No, it does not, still, CTB is the only way out

I am really sorry to hear that its come to this. I wish everyone could have a multiple chances in this life... but thats it, its just a wish

Yeah, exactly... the tragicomic thing is, just shortly before I realized I have this disease I got cured from another very severe disease after battling it most of my life

I've just noticed you're from Germany... I thought Germany is the most advanced country in terms of treating SD in the world... well, I guess it sucks everywhere

Well like I said, it got treated but not fully. The doc said they are only treating it to a certain degree... and after that they did nothing. Also it does suck everywhere haha
