Venting Anyone else sick of being called manipulative?

I've lost so many friendships over the years, and the most common reason is that I dared to confess that I'm suicidal. Almost every single time, they say I'm being "manipulative" and then cut me off. Like, what am I supposed to do in that situation? Slit my wrists open in front of them to prove it? Worst part is, these people often claim to be supportive of people with mental health issues, but when they meet someone that actually has a mental health problem, they don't believe it's real. It frustrates the hell out of me. Has anyone else experienced this?

i've been called manipulative so much just because i say i don't want to be alone again when someone says they don't want to be with me anymore or be my friend anymore lol. i'm so sick of it. why is me expressing my feelings about abandonment always considered manipulative?? am i just supposed to pretend i'm okay with people leaving me??

I have also been called manipulative for the same reason. People are fair to not want to entertain that talk fine but they shouldn't bemoan after the fact how the deceased didn't turn to them.
