Anyone else in denial and hold onto false hope that's based on times when life was better?

I'm sure this applies even to the non-suicidal. The past is often better for most. It makes it hard to look at the situation objectively. Life could change for the better. I don't see how that would work exactly, but the lack of knowing for sure that the good times are over makes it hard to ctb.

Yeah that's an obstacle. Yet I wished it was certain my life got better again.
