• Hey Guest,

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I have been suffering with trichotillomania for I believe ten years now. When I first started developing it, I started to pull out my hair until my fingers would be red and hurt incredibly bad. I also suffer with an anxiety disorder so when I get anxious it is like a domino effect watching myself start to do certain things because I am getting overwhelmed. I used to use eyebrow makeup, and it looked bad, but I didn't know what else to do lol. I was also a young child, so I was just doing whatever I could to hide how I actually looked. You can't really hide having no eyelashes though.

For as long as I can remember!
Eyebrows are what I pull. I get obvious holes in them.

i also do but it's not super extreme. i had it for a first time when i was in childhood (came along with many other habits like nail biting and skin picking), but because my mom would bother me so much about it i stopped with it. recently i've started again, though i'm not sure what trigerred it.

I don't have trichotillomania, but I do have dermatillomania (skin picking). My fingers are pretty scarred and it burns to use hand sanitizer sometimes. It's something I start doing unconsciously and it's difficult to make myself stop.

I've had it since the 2nd grade and I've never managed to quit. The only time I came close, my brain just replaced it with a lip-chewing habit. Now I do both. :P

Since your trichotillomania comes from anxiety, maybe you could replace the habit with a stress toy or something? Sorry if that's advice you've heard a million times before. >.<
