Greetings,

is anyone else here busy with selling or giving away a few belongings they don't want to be wasted or thrown away when they ctb?

Lately I've been selling various consoles and instruments that still operate very well and I barely ever played on, online. They would be a waste to just throw away when I die some day. 0 damage, all clean, just me having used them like 4 times max. Next I'll likely sell some clothes I've collected over decades. I notice thrifting and selling clothes independently has become very popular lately. Maybe I'll find a few people who want or need all this stuff.

I'd argue something like this could subconsciously prepare you for ctb or help you afford your method too. I do not recommend selling or giving away (especially daily use) items if you fall under the immediate/impulsive ctb trope though. I just do this because I am clingy with my possessions and at least want them to end up in suitable circumstances after I leave, and have had a set and persistent wish to catch the bus. I know I won't ever sell everything in my room and that is not my intention anyway.

^ I heard it's considered a red flag when someone suddenly starts to give away or sell all of their belongings so keep everything appropriate and excusable. ''Luckily'' I don't have anyone that's there to notice me suddenly selling items I've originally worked my ass off for.

Regards

Yeah, I'm giving some stuff away. Makes me pretty sad, remembering how I cared about the occasions these things were used. But it makes sense, less for someone else to take care of later.

Yes! I even opened an online shop for a while in order to sell things to buy SN. Donated my collection of books to the library, and donated clothes to thrift shops

I honestly don't see a point, eventually whoever gets your stuff will die too... nothing is ever really yours.

At best I'd leave items to certain trusted individuals (pertaining to their interestests) but most people do not deserve anything which I have possessed in my opinion. Most of humanity is vomit inducing vermin which should be dropped off in the landfills along with all my belongings after death.

I'm not sure, I don't have that many friends and I only have one family member, I'm worried they might see this as a red flag and try to stop me I'd rather not risk it

Sell to whom exactly? I don't need anymore money to CTB (the rope I bought cost me £10 on eBay and it's a good one) and I doubt I can arrange a bank transfer to whichever bank is popular in Hell either.

If I had people in my life whom I cared about (I'm completely alone) then I'd give them some of my things as long as I knew that they would put them to good use. Right now, it will likely be the Government who will inherit my belongings as I officially have no next of kin. Everything would probably either go straight into a skip or someone from the local Council would make the rounds of the nearby charity shops. I'd be long-dead though so it's no concern of mine either way.

Oh, and I'm a registered organ donor so maybe somebody else can enjoy the nice, healthy liver of a teetotaler in the (unlikely) event that somebody finds me before the maggots do.

Sincerely,
CumbriaCTB

I would love to but meh, too many stuff, too much of a hassle. My best friend has a full claim for all my collection if he wants to, probably not tho.

Dude lives like a trillion kilometers away and has a bigger collection lol.

My collection is worth fortune if my family knows the right price and the right people to sell. But they will probably gonna be given a way or sold for dirt cheap to people who won't appreciate them, shame.

But I'm dead lol, fuck me if I care.

I don't intend to and that's for two reasons. Firstly it will raise suspicions and I don't want anymore attention on me as I already have enough of that as is. Secondly in the unlikely event I decide I do want to keep living I'd still like to have my things. What I will do instead is leave things to people in my notes. I can't be certain if that'll be honored or not but that's the best option for me.

I donated some clothes for lower-class women and women in shelthers for DV, I hope they can access them, I know the system is corrupt and some of the working women in such organisations take the good stuff for themselve for their stupid children.

The other stuff is too hard to donate because I don't know any women personaly, I dislike many websites. I have no other buyers (no contacts) and don't want to have such dealing contacts. The only human I wanted to have contact with and around in my life, abandoned me like everyone else, like my father. It was a pretty woman but sadly not from inside. It still hurts. I made a origami bird and put it into a hole deep in the forest, I didn't closed it. I really wish she would care, reach out to me but she is really a narc and psychopathic woman, she choose the wrong side and is happy with her life I guess. Sad that only bad people seem to find their partner for life.

I don't think so, mainly because in the rare and unfortunate event that I don't or fail or whatever (freak and unexpected) reason that I don't CTB, I'd be left with almost nothing at all. Additionally, I don't want to set off red flags or signs of potentially CTB'ing, leading to unnecessary and unwanted scrutiny, inspection into an already stressful life that I'm going through.

No, I would it because I don't want my family to have to deal with my belongings, but I also think that people would notice if I started selling/giving away my possessions and I can't risk that kind of attention because many people in my life are aware of my suicidal thoughts. Fortunately I don't have a ton of things, so I am hoping that it won't be too much of a hassle for my family when I die. I have also thought about leaving a note saying what I want done with my things in the hopes that it would be honored, but in the end I will be dead and I doubt I will care

I maintain a minimalist lifestyle and constantly throw away or sell stuff I don't use. But I am planning to keep a few things to pass along to my nephews and niece since I don't have any children of my own and never will. All my money will go to my parents though. It's not much but should be enough along with the life insurance payout to get them through a decade at least.

Nope. My wife will get everything. She can decide what keep, what to sell, and what to throw away. It clearly won't matter to me anymore! Her problem now.

Don't do this - my advice to anyone thinking of doing this would be to leave a note with your stuff saying that in the event of my suicide, donate all of this to charity. I had a lot of credit to waste before my "date" and I never did end my life so now I am left with a lot of credit to pay back... it's sort of the same thing except I didn't really have anything to sell.

You never know when you will be gone until you're actually gone is my point.
