Discussion anyone else experience this with people they like?

most of the time when i'm extremely interested in someone (usually romantically) at some point my feelings for them will just completely disappear and i'll suddenly feel straight up uncomfortable talking to them. like, one day i'd literally sacrifice myself for them and the next day i wouldn't care if they died

i'm scared it'll happen again with the person i like right now. i wish i knew how to stop or manage it, but i can't even afford to see what's wrong with me...

i have a pretty long list actually but the relevant ones are depression, GAD, OCD, and i suspect BPD

i heard it had something to do with attatchment styles but aren't those developed because of childhood trauma? im pretty sure i don't have any childhood trauma, all the fucked up shit in my head is mostly from mental illness

I've seen people with BPD especially complain about behaviour like that.They say it's also not a conscious choice, but just the way they react.Sounds pretty destructive when it comes to relationships.

i feel the same sorta but, its usually random hatred, "fuck off, i hate u, get away from me." and debating about blocking them when they arent able to know. it comes and goes but i try brushing it off and saying thats not how i feel. when smth big happens i just want to berate them and such. but, i just assume im a bad person anyways even though i cant fully explain why it happens. maybe stress but thats just me. i feel super anxious though when it happens and i stop speaking or just try tp distract myself from it.

Sounds like a BPD trait for sure ofc Id recommended you get diagnosed.

It has happened to me to more times that I can count.
