unfortunately I still live with my parents, so any package that comes in they could be curious what its about. I could lie but i dont like doing that and not sure if it would work. any methods to circumvent that?

It depends on the inert gas method: SCUBA, SCBA, EEBD hood, exit bag, Rebreather. Have you already decided on a method?

The size of the gas cylinder, which is the largest part of equipment required, depends on the method.
Maybe you can have the packages sent to a pickup store or post office. But the next problem is where to hide the equipment, especially the big and
heavy gas cylinder.

Hi befree, indeed, youre right. I'm planning to either go with the rebreather and n2o cartridges, or 2L nitrogen tank and a diving regulator thats properly strapped so I can't rip it off. not wanting to go the exit bag route as I'd rather avoid the entire process of having a regulator and relying on an exit bag. I've been looking into a post office post box but it seems to only be for businesses, but i'm still looking. my family is leaving for a few days in a few weeks so that's the only time i'd have to order the stuff, but theres a fair amount of ambiguity around when exactly things are delivered, its not entirely like I can order everything using amazon prime and have it be here the next day :]

You don't get all the equipment on amazon. But it also depends on the country. If you decide to use the SCUBA method, there are two options:
the cheap rubber mask or better a full face mask from Ocean Reef = "Neptune III" or the older "Neptune Space G divers" + an Ocean Reef regulator.
All models mentioned were used successfully. I would use the Ocean Reef Neptune III.

You can also rent an MBE address. MBE has stores worldwide. In many countries, the biggest problem is to buy a gas cylinder. In any case, the purity must be at least 99.8% = nitrogen / helium 2.8 or higher. It´s also important to know that the threaded connections are different in many countries. This means that you also need a different adapter to connect the regulator.

indeed, I'm aware of that, i was being sarcastic...humor..something like that hah, anyway. thank you for the info on the full face masks, will keep those in mind! I've had a quick google and it seems like MBE has nothing on their website for non-business individuals for postal services unfortunately, but I appreciate the tip nonethless.

Of course you can rent an MBE address as a private individual. Many members have used this option, for pickup, but also for mailforwarding (worldwide). Just look for the nearest store in your area and ask about the conditions. Usually the minimum rental period is 3 months.

I would start with the cylinder first. Find a dealer and find out what connection the cylinder has.

You can go for SCUBA with a 200bar regulator using the DIN200 air-to-nitrogen adapter. The DIN300 one (for 300bar regulators) is out of stock.
