Discussion Any suicide fiction books recommendations?

I would like to read depressing books that have a relationship to suicide
I love reading but I stumble a lot with the"hopeful ending" bs
I liked reading osamu dazai
Emil Cioran and Sylvia plath

The sorrows of the Young Werther , from Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. I loved this book so much. And 13 reasons why the book. That it's actually from where the serie was originated after the release of the book. If you like reading manga there's one about suicide called Boy in the Abyss . I didn't have finished it yet, so I can't tell if it has a "hopeful ending". There's also a manwha called Suicide Boy, that is more like a slice of life style, but with a suicidal and depressed boy as MC. It's funny sometimes, I don't know if you will like it. I would also like to know books with suicidal or depressed tones and characters. The only one I know rn is Crime and punishment but thats more depression and insanity. The main character has basically given up on life and is very depressed n antisocial. Its one of my favorite books.

Also definitely read David Foster Wallace's fiction, in particular the short story "Good Old Neon".

By The Time You Read This, I'll be Dead by Julie Anne Peters was a favorite of mine in like, middle school going into high school. Not sure how well it holds up now that I'm older and no longer a suicidal 14 year old but instead a suicidal 22 year old, but I think it may still be worth a read.

By The Time You Read This, I'll Be Dead - i liked it for the most part. The end was open to the reader's interpretation, which i usually hate, but i think the way you interpret it depends on your mental state at the time. I didn't see it as hopeful.

All The Bright Places - i loved this one. Also not hopeful bs, but i liked that the entire book wasn't just the character wanting to die the whole time. It was a really good story.

My Heart And Other Black Holes - i liked it until the hopeful bs at the end. The story was good besides that.

I have more but i'm not remembering at the moment. I'll have to look at my bookshelf when i get home lol
