Any good based media entertainment around the topic of suicide?

My favourites here would have to be "platinum end" and "to your eternity" and "Cowboy bepbop" (all animes I know, but there's no way Hollywood would make such content)

Does anyone have any other recommendations? There's not a lot out there it seems.

In fact, Hollywood made such a movie in 1971 : Harold & Maude. It's still controversial but I really like this movie. Ruth Gordon is just perfect !
But you're right, we'll never see such movies again in Hollywood... Otherwise, the short anime movie Suicideland (on Youtube) is a masterpice but unfortunately her author passed away a few weeks ago.

i really love the series Please like me, it's not about suicide but it does deal with the subject, although you have to watch the whole thing. The protagonist isn't the suicidal person, but I really appreciate the way suicide is handled and the conclusion they give to the character who is suicidal and how they show mental health.

Actually a literal Disney movie for kids comes to mind. The incredibles... Man jumps off building and is saved, then sues because he didn't want to be saved... Yeah... That's in a kids movie
