• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Was down bad in my sense of community and volition last year and so naturally I sent an email requesting to join the freemasonry. I've gotten two replies back asking if I want to arrange a further meeting. Tbh the only reason I inquired was cuz I thought it could be a good way to integrate back into a community whilst still keeping authentic to my spiritual disposition. But I can't really imagine freemasonry turning out any differently from any other large entity (which exists solely to survive as what it is). I'm especially put off after hearing about the annual dues.

Figured I should actually learn about the weird fraternity cult before deciding whether to bind myself to it, instead of just going off cool mystical vibes... but the more I learn of it the further it strays from the point into pure pretension.

My Godmum's Dad was a mason apparently. All I heard was they took care of his widow when he died. So- that aspect to it sounded nice.

From the one I met, they donate a lot to charity and seem like cool people who look out for one another. That's the point I guess, fraternity.

I have a fairly close friend in the freemasons.

My interpretation is that it's very much a social club, bonding through traditions and various more or less ritualistic events - "pretension".
They seem like an open minded and successful group. I think that social sphere could be very rewarding in terms of insights and opportunities.

I'm not sure a suicidal person would fit in well though, unless you're passively suicidal and trying to recover. Also you are expected to believe in a Supreme Being.
