Just because someone is here for a year or more means absolutely nothing as to whether or not they will eventually ctb. People wait to ctb for all kinds of reasons. Suicide the hardest decision someone can make and many people are in no rush. People like myself are in limbo..I don't want to live but I have a lot to think about in my decision to ctb. Having this community of like minded non judgemental people to talk to in the mean time is helpful. Also some people recover and just stay to give kindness and support to others and thats great.
If you are questioning and reconsidering now. If you write about it for years. And already made threads that you will ctb tomorrow but then couldn't do it and still continue. If you wait for the perfect moment. Then it is just unlikely that you will do it when you announce in the next thread that you will.
Not saying that a person like this will never do it, not saying that its not suicidal. Just saying that it is unlikely. And imho that is good, if that decision is that hard for you, you probably shouldn't do it and hold on and see how things develop (pro-tip: they won't change).
I know RL examples of some cases. The four guys i know that did ctb where all apparently very convinced in their decision and didn't act any different prior to the suicide and weren't visibly depressed.
Then i do know two people who are permanently depressed, have mental issues, take pills and announce their suicide once per month and never did it.
As you said, it is a hard decision and you have to be without doubt to actually be able to act on it. If you write hundreds of postings on the internet to others to get moral support and talk about your feelings and your problems (nothing wrong about that), its a sign that you do have doubts.
Between your CO2 comments on the ReBreather thread and now here, you're sure racking up the angry reacts.
The OP of this thread is trolling all over the forum, including on a goodbye thread ffs.
Two, and one of those two is you. And the DeBreather is literally a marketing thread that sells a face mask with three tubes and a "filter" for nearly 200$. I am totally fine with those scammers giving me negative internet points. Btw. thank you for mentioning it, seems like you are the first one following me.
Also it is incredible rude to call someone a troll just because he asks questions that are uncomfortable for you. I would really suggest that you rethink your behavior.
Seeing that you ignored the OP and even announced it in this thread for no real reason (could have spared yourself all that drama and could just have ignored it without saying, which would have been easier for everyone), i would urge you to ignore me too if this is your chosen way of dealing with such situations. Then you don't have to hit dislike buttons, remind me of magic internet points, other threads and announce when you click an ignore button.
It's just silly, i don't have time for that child play.
