Discussion Annoyance with how society treats "acceptable" ways to lay a body to rest

I understand certain guidelines or laws around it I suppose, I just dislike the whole idea of it.
When I die, I'd like my body to be cut or presented differently rather than just being buried; even with previous consent, it'd be illegal pretty much everywhere.
I'm dead and specially asked for it, why would I care? Though the rule is made to "protect" family or living companions of the dead person, I still think it's idiotic that goverments are able to pick and choose what methods are acceptable and unacceptable to use post mortem rather than the person who's literally dead
Wondering if anyone else ever had similiar thoughts regarding this topic, or if anyone has anything to add to the conversation at all really

Sometimes the rules and regulations are there for people and environmental protection. Where the body decomposes and for how long is important to consider. Money is also a factor to consider, as you don't want to have an ultra expensive funeral you, your family, or insurance can't cover.

At the end of the day though it comes down to the fact that we still struggle with body autonomy. You are not allowed to make choices on what to do with your own body or your own life if it disturbs other people.

It's what I was talking about in the understanding of certain regulations, I can understand laws to pervent safety issues. I Didn't overthink it because I don't wanna get caught up and annoyed over it, just a "what if" scenario if anything.

The frustration comes from a place of no matter how safe and if it'll be a private space, you're still expected to conform to what authority decides is acceptable.

As far as I know, the regulations emphasized by the authorities are made by years of experience within this certain subject. They don't just randomly tell you to make a six foot hole to bury a body in.

Art exhibits would sound nice, but I'm in a really religious region so I doubt it'd be an option sadly.
You're not even allowed to work in cemetries and adjacent areas if you're not religious; which I also find absurd.

Might be area specific, I'm not sure about how it is in the EU or US, but you're practically bound to having a specific religious burial in death, to my knowledge you can't even choose specific clothing to be buried in. You have to go through insane hoops if you're a family of someone you knew wasn't religious to find seperate cemeteries without these restrictions.
