I don't usually recommend anime because sometimes it depends on the type of anime you like. For example, if you hate isekai, you might not like RE:Zero; if you don't like shonen, Full Metal Alchemist won't be as great for you, etc. But okay, I'll give you 10 recommendations based on shonen, shoujo, isekai, mecha, seinen, etc.

Samurai Champloo (I don't know how some people still haven't watched this one at least once, RIP Nujabes)

Serial Experiments Lain (very good, watched in middle school, would avoid all recent online discussion of it + avoid newer chronically online fan base)

Mongolian Chop Squad (haven't watched yet, about a band of some kind)

Mind Game (haven't watched yet, sitting in my watchlist for YEARS)

Summer Wars (childhood favourite, watched several times, very fun and colorful, Digimon parallels)

Revolutionary Girl Utena + The Adolescense of Utena (gay gay homosexual gay queer gay homo, magical girl stuff kinda?, fencing, drama, cryptic, confusing)

Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou (haven't watched yet, post apocalyptic setting, cafe setting, robots/androids)

Witch Hunter Robin (was popular years ago, haven't watched it, maybe for those who enjoy Ergo Proxy I assume)

Don't know if you've already watched it or it's been said but I really liked fullmetal alchemist brotherhood, neon evangelion is also a classic if youre into mindfuck and mechs. There's also always jujustsu kaisen, ive been told thats good but i havent watched it myself. mp100 is really good too!
