@Treeline589 and @Feeding Pigeons it's in no way pathetic to not ctb, regardless of how long or how "much" you want to. When and if the time is right, you'll know. Attempting before that doesn't prove you are brave or tough.

Suicide is very difficult after all, I have never wanted to be alive but yet I am still here. It is not pathetic. Even know we want to die we are programmed to survive. The survival instinct is determined to keep us suffering. In my case, there is a lack of a peaceful and reliable way to exit and there is the fear of failure. If it was easier I would already be gone. I hope for eternal sleep. I wish you the best.

I have been suicidal for 22 years. If I go with my original ctb plan and wait until my dog dies, it would be 33 years. passive suicidal thoughts are ok. You don't have to action on them
