It's a weird thing though, I used to have a lot of empathy when I was a kid, but somewhere between there and early adulthood, it feels like that empathy just curled up in a corner and died. In the past couple of years, I've made good progress with the professionals I have been working with to get it back, but it's very hard not to go back to old ways of thinking.
What would make you think that someone who lacks the desire to torture and kill kittens likes having sex with them? That doesn't even make sense.

if it was fast and painless, I think we would all be traveling to high risk areas. Sounds like it would not be a good way to go.

Personally, as others have stated, I wish I could get infected. I'd never get so lucky though... To know I finally get to die, that my own cowardice is not a factor anymore, just nature taking its course.

I know it's a novel idea round here but millions of human beings are very happy living thank you very much and are very invested in staying that way. Taking people's lives when they don't want you to is called murder and it is, quite rightly, frowned upon.

Theres a mind blowing article from The Atlantic written by a scientist who estimates that 40 to 70 percent of the world population at some point will contract the coronavirus.
So if we do some basic math there's about 7 billion people on the planet. So between 2.8 billion to 4.9 billion people will get the coronavirus if this scientist estimate is correct. In addition since coronavirus has a roughly 2 percent mortality rate, that means between 56 million to 98 million people will die because of it.
Holy moly. Keep in mind that 70 million is one percent of the world population. So potentially this virus may kill around 1 percent of all living humans. So potentially 1 out of 100 people will die from this virus.
Thats pretty insane, from one virus.

Sounds like misanthropy, correct me if I'm wrong. Misanthropy can be brought by having a dark past of dealing with others, such as verbal/physical abuse, harassment, bullying, and so forth. Forgot what it's called, but it's highly similar to several social disorders in the DSM 5. It can also be simply hatred of humankind. A result of this can be wishing misfortune upon others. No, this doesn't make you a bad person. It's simply a psychological ocurrance. A therapist would simply treat it as such. What makes you want this to happen?
