For a reference I have not had a dream for close to a decade. Or at least not one that I remembered. But I am dreaming now and it's horrible. I don't know if it's because of my worsening depression or what, but I need to post this somewhere.

I am too afraid to sleep now. The only thing I can dream is of death. No, not someone falling over dead, but of something graphic. Might be too graphic to say here. It's terrifying because it's all the people that I know.

It's even worse when it's me. It's as if I can feel what is happening and it ranges from odd to waking up screaming in a cold sweat. Still might be too graphic to go into details.

Have you had that dream of falling and you wake up after a while. That is just the first hour of my sleep. I calm down and go back to sleep. And the it's the most gruesome death/murder I've ever seen. Best part of that is I can't wake up. It's like I'm strapped to a chair being forced to watch this.

I think the worst part of it is when I see myself doing it, especially to the people I know. I've even dreamed about taking my life, what it would feel like. I don't want to dream this, but i have no control. It's like the most insane parts of my mind are trying to get out into the real world and I have to keep it in.

I know I need sleep, but I will stay awake until I can't anymore just because I am so afraid of my dreams.

That certainly sounds so horrific, it just shows that it's really impossible to find relief from suffering in this hellish world even if one is sleeping. Existence certainly is a curse.

Not had a dream in ten years? I dream every night and most of them are really bad: Working at an awful job about to be fired, or in the military service for three years, or getting arrested, or car being stolen, or an alien invasion--Wish i didn't dream at all
