All I want to do is wear pretty lingerie for someone I love and watch their eyes light up over me. This urge is so strong I can't get this burning desire out of my head. But I'm single and shy and I don't engage in hookup culture. So I can't get this, but I want this, and nothing I do satisfies this urge.

Loneliness is so sad! I feel like the more isolated I become, the more I begin to crave affection, even though I tend to push people away when people do actually try and get close to me out of fear of hurting them and myself. A bit contradictory, but it's just how I am.

I feel that way too. As my isolation increases my loneliness increases and it's such a vicious cycle. Thank you though

Or how about we don't do the same shit that abusers do to attract a guy? Also, if they act like they don't want it then that is probably because they don't want it.This is basically the equivalent to when those weird pick-up artists talk about how "when women say no, they really mean yes".

Well, my first bit of advice would probably be not to use the same tactics that abusers use to their partners trapped in their relationship.
