• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Hi everyone, tomorrow I'm going to try again, I'll be using the suspended method, I'll be using a simple rope, all during the early morning hours, any tips to make sure everything goes well? Relaxation remedies?

Not much to say. Make sure you're certain and perhaps you want to take a benzo or get a bit loose from your favourite spirit beforehand. I wish you peace whatever you do.

Idk. Make sure you've tested your anchor point to make sure it will support your weight. Rope too. And that you won't be prematurely discovered. Peace to you.

As someone who failed an attempt due to the anchor point coming loose, definitely this. That said... how in the world do you test whether a rope can hold your weight without putting it around your neck? The obvious answer is hang onto it with your full body weight but most people who aren't professional athletes couldn't do that

I'm not sure this is right. I think a lot of people could at least pull themselves up a rope a couple feet and hold there a few seconds.

I don't know if you'll make it, but I imagine myself in your place, just as I imagine myself in the place of anyone who dies, for any reason, and I always have that silly feeling of wondering "why not me?". I wish you all the luck in the world in this process. If everything goes well, you will never again feel pain, worry, nothing; what I consider perfection: "non-existence". In my view, the human species, like all others, arose by chance and each individual dies in the same way. The feeling of being able to change that is impressive. It's the only force we have against a cursed, indifferent process that keeps us here only to randomly annihilate us.

Yes, but the thing is a few seconds isn't enough. You need to test it for at least a few minutes. A rope can come apart minutes after slowly degrading due to the weight, and obviously that happening after minutes of brain damage but pre-death would be a horrific outcome

If it's a polyester or polypropylene rope (strong synthetic materials) between 10 or 14 mm, I doubt it can break under the weight of a normal person.

You can always check the WLL (Working Load Limit) on the label if the rope is new.

If it's a very worn or old rope, it would be better to buy a new one; they aren't expensive and you'll be sure it won't break.
