Aftermath of a suicide

Hey all,

Just wondering about the aftermath of a suicide. I plan to ctb in a relatively public/visited/touristy place, but pretty much at the dead of the night. I may be the first one to do so here, so it might be made public, looked around haven't found any articles (but maybe none have been made public). But there is meaning to why I am doing it in this spot. I do plan on calling the police beforehand because I rather them find me than a passerby.

I plan on using a gun, so I was just wondering how the cleanup would be after. Definitely would try to minimize the mess, but obviously there would be blood. I'm not too well informed in the clean up aspect of a suicide. How would it be cleaned up? If anyone knows.

Also if I do leave a note requesting that my death not be made public if possible, do you think they (media) would honor that?

Crime secne technicians will deal with the clean up. You can watch a few videos online of their process. And usually suicides don't ever make the news or become public information cause they think it might trigger more people to follow in their steps that feel that way. The only time they ever make news is if it's a mass murder suicide like they kill their family then themselves or if it's a celebrity suicide. They don't wanna have people know just how many people kill themselves cause it would trigger people so I think you're good with it being kept secret.

Thanks for the clarification and information! If that's the case, then it's perfect. I'll attempt to leave as little as a mess as I can, and the biggest clean up will definitely be the blood.

Yeah, I have been reading around and those are generally the cases that are reported. However, as I said this is in a tourist spot during the day, so who knows. Without giving it too much away. It will be on a set of stairs which has some sort of artwork and a nice view at the top, hence a public tourist spot.

But if clean up is fast and everything, I guess the scene could be closed faster. Also I'm a nobody so I definitely wouldn't matter.

What's the best gun with which to CTB? I'm asking because I'm thinking this is the best way for me as well. 9mm in the mouth angled towards my brain? Ricochet off the back of my skull? Probably in my bathtub to minimize the mess?

If you're using a pistol unless it's a long barreled revolver I'd personally go behind the top front part of ear lined up with eye. Also +p+ JHP ammo.

Yeah, I'm living in the States. Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, I guess I'm leaving the dirty work to the public workers, since I won't be ctb at home, but more so outside at a public location (dead at night).

I don't know, but I'd do it in the woods to bleed to death without being found. Surviving a shot to the face really is painful looking...

I read people get saved by the people they warned.

I don't think the media will resist making it public if you do it in public. I'd fear phone videos on youtube... Best wishes to figure it out

I understand wanting to die with a cool view... But tourists go out at night where I live.
