Venting Afraid of SN now, I feel hopeless

I cancelled my SN order because I freaked out reading IntelligentLeg's thread about SN and I don't want that to happen to me. I once had the stomach flu where I was vomiting for days and can't imagine having a more potent toxin in my body. Who knows what could happen but I really need to CTB I can't take this

You can also find threads where someone drank N and woke up after a while and even shot themselves and went to the gym afterwards. Be questioning what you read.

So many people have succeeded with SN after all, so I believe it to be a reliable method. But still, it's unfair and disrespectful for people to call those who failed SN and posted about it, to be deliberately creating doubts about the method in a suspicious way. The reality is that ctb methods can potentially go wrong if not researched properly, so all that anyone can really do, is do their research on their method to prevent this.

It's horrifying the thought of ctb potentially going wrong, but as I said so many have succeeded. There is a reason why so many go for SN over other methods, I mean it doesn't sound as peaceful as N but still sounds preferable to many of the alternative ways to ctb, at least to me.

Not telling you what to do or not to do. But there are TONS of liars on this page either lying for attention or lying because they are a part of the pro-life squad.
I used SN to ctb.... followed the guide.... It didn't work for me (I'm assuming I didn't fast long enough before). I had a little bit of blue on my extremities... that's it.
Also if you take an antiemetic before (as recommended) you can't throw up (or shouldn't)

I became immediately suspicious after the inconsistencies in the amounts she took and timeframe she took it in and also because of how she said she was "screaming in agony". I've never heard of someone screaming in agony after taking SN and if it was agony why didn't she call an ambulance? Makes no sense whatsoever.

I agree. There are many inconsistencies, especially when you read the thread she made 24 hours earlier when she first took the SN.

If it was a lie it was a fairly elaborate well-informed one. 'Screaming in agony' does seem rather histrionic though. I think you should read both the threads she made over the 24 hour period. I don't think it was all lies but it certainly wasn't completely truthful.

It hasn't put me off using SN. I believe she didn't follow the important parts of the protocol and that's why she failed

She's definitely aware of some of the symptoms of taking SN and she may have actually taken some, but 30grams? I don't think so. That sketchy post damaged a lot pf people's ctb plans.

Yes, I just read through the whole thread. To be fair it's not her responsibility to reassure people is it. She's an individual telling her story. If people are swayed by that to discarding their method that is on them alone. There is no substitute for thoroughly researching a method, critically evaluating the data, and drawing your own conclusions.

There are two threads to read through, did you read both?

If people are going to tell their experiences of an attempt, they should be truthful about it. She hasn't been entirely truthful and its frightened a lot of people.

In her first thread she said she sipped at a 30g glass until it was half empty, then in the next thread she said she measured out another 20g and drank that glass. When confronted on the inconsistency between the posts she at first refused to answer and then eventually said she only had the 20g glass. My question is why did she say in the previous thread she drank half of a 30g cup before she took the other 20g glass?

That's a fair point, not sure if it was deliberate, perhaps she was confused about measurements or had some amnesia in the heat of the moment. The 'feeling stiff as a board' 'life slipping away' (paraphrasing) and 'screaming in agony' sounded odd to me but so did her transphobic remarks. She's not a person whose account I would fully trust to the point of discarding my method. Just my 2 cents

That's one of several inconsistencies. She also said she took 30g within 15 minutes in second thread despite being titled 20g.
