Hello all,

I plan to ctb in my car using charcoal within the next couple of weeks and I have a few questions.

1. What are the coals supposed to look like when you put them inside your car? I've heard mixed things here and would love a visual aid if possible.

2. When would be the best time to take my benzos during this process?

3. What is the best container for the coals within the car? I've heard mostly about buckets and portable barbecues but would like to know yalls opinions on this. I've also heard it is helpful to have multiple containers of charcoal in the car? I did the calculation seen elsewhere on this forum and it says I need about 1.5 lbs of charcoal so I plan to double or triple that.

4. What are the most important parts of the car to seal?

Thank you so much for your help on this.

1. When there's hardly any smoke, its ready to be taking in.

2. Personally, I'd take the moment I started the Chimney starter.

3. Both will do, did read somewhere that the grill has a slight edge, with the charcoal being spread out evenly.

4. All the vents.

CO is my chosen method to.
All the best.

More questions.

So, you use a chimney starter to reduce charchol briquettes to glowing coals. You put this in a sealed space. You get in. Correct?

Hi Steve, not familiar enough with the technique but I can guide you to the January 2025 edition of PPH, page 174

It seems to guide more on the way to generating CO (charcoals vs generators) as well as container recommendations for a generator.
I am familiar with benzos. Each benzo has a different onset and peak duration, so time accordingly to the type you take.
Sending you a lot of strength. May you find your own safe way. ♥
