I've been trying partial hanging/night night for over a week but was never even able to make myself dizzy. Didn't want to cut myself and risk just straight up missing arteries, and also because I can't stand the thought of cutting into myself. I tried to suffocate myself twice in a plastic bag but barely lasted a minute; I at least tried to hyperventilate before in hopes of passing out but never got it right. Didn't want to mess with pills/substances either because those are very unreliable in my opinion. So I felt pretty defeated until I found a thread here discussing an article about a guy who committed suicide by mixing citric acid and baking soda in a plastic bag. It was presumed that the reaction produced enough carbon dioxide for immediate loss of consciousness, and there was no sign of struggle either. The cups weren't even knocked over.
Here's the article
This reaction works with presumably most acids + sodium bicarbonate (baking soda), so I decided to just use vinegar. Someone mentioned this method for euthanizing pets painlessly, doing the math that 1 tablespoon of sodium bicarbonate + 1 cup of vinegar would produce a gallon of CO2. Another recommends that a concentration of about 25% CO2 is recommended for instant loss of consciousness, so I did the math to fill my 13 gallon trash bag with 3.25 gallons of CO2, exactly 25% concentration. 3.25 tablespoons of baking soda and 3.25 cups of vinegar + some extra just to be sure. Looking back on this, I think this might be overkill but you might as well be sure.
I had never gotten much anxiety when attempting partial hanging or plastic bag suffocation, but when preparing for this method my heart was beating out of my chest. I think mainly because I was much more sure this would work. I got a big mixing bowl with the baking soda and a water bottle with the vinegar, put them into the plastic bag and taped it around my head. I didn't put my hands in there but I underestimated how difficult it would be to actually pick up the bottle, so I just squeezed it so the vinegar would pour out onto the soda.
I get most of it in and the reaction starts fizzing. I probably didn't set this up in the best way to avoid survival instincts but I rushed it a little and didn't think it through too well. First of all, my face was directly over the bubbling cauldron of death that was this bowl of baking soda and vinegar. The smell wasn't nice either. I'm already starting to panic and reach to rip the bag off of my head, as I do so the sound of the fizzing starts to warp and distort, and my vision starts filling with colorful vibrating dots. This sends me into overdrive and I dig my fingers through the bag and pull it off of my head. The bag appears to stretch way more than it should, like it was a dozen feet longer than normal. As I get it off all I can hear is a strange pulsing sound all around me, but very electrical and distorted like I was inside of a tesla coil. My head felt fuzzy and my vision was noisy and filled with colorful dots that rapidly contracted and expanded. This lasted for almost a minute and for the next 20 I was still seeing a decent amount of noise. For the rest of the day I still saw dots and colors in the dark.

Here are some things I noted:
- There was quite a bit of sediment at the bottom of the bowl, meaning to me that most of the soda didn't even react with the vinegar. Maybe I'm wrong and this sediment is normal but I'm thinking stirring the solution will speed up the reaction and make me lose consciousness much faster.
- There was no pain at all even when I began to hallucinate.
- It only took about 5 seconds for me to begin hallucinating, so I think a couple of seconds more would have sealed my fate for good.
