Here I am again with a question about policy. Yesterday there was a striking set of comments from the sister of a girl who posted a goodbye thread on here as she CTB in real time (one month ago). The sister figured out how to access the girl's account (yesterday), logged in as her, and thus was able to "witness" her sister's last moments. She reamed us a new one with a scathing comment or two, then pleaded for information about the girl's time of death. She was understandably in distress.
Today I wanted to check if she'd been back, and it would appear the girl's entire account has been deleted. Now – I am refraining from saying why I believe this happened, which would be evident to anyone who read those posts, and I would ask that no one post that reason here. However, I would like to know if it is the policy of the site, at admin/mod discretion, to obliterate an account this way. There is now no evidence of this girl's presence, nor her experience here. I am expecting this entire thread to be deleted too at some point – hopefully not before the sincere question is answered – so comment while you can.
EDIT: I am adding this here, as it keeps coming up. CTB occurred over one month ago. Member had joined last September.
