I know what you're thinking: that's just a song from a gacha game. And you'd be right. I am sure that I am simply losing my mind a little bit, seeing things that don't exist. But there is something about this song, something that I can't really put my finger on, that fills me with a strange feeling.

I think it's the piano. The way those few notes are played over and over. It is like a heartbeat, or maybe footsteps.

It does not stop, not until the very end.

There is a sad, melancholic melody at around 0:08. Then, a rapid melody, one of inner turmoil, at around 0:46. These sounds threaten to overwhelm the constant piano tune.

But all the while, the piano continues.

It's as if it knows there are only bad things ahead of it, that things will not end well. But, it still continues. It continues until the very end. It keeps a constant, unflinching pace. It shows no signs of the other sounds building. No hint that there is anything more going on. It holds its head high, and keeps moving forward. Even as the other sounds build, and build, and build. They are so loud, compared to that soft piano.

But the piano, it doesn't try to drown out the other sounds. It doesn't try to change anything, perhaps because it knows that, as quiet as it is, it has no hope of drowning out the other sounds. And yet, it simply keeps going, exactly as it was when the song first began. When there were no other sounds, and no hints of a painful future, or a bad ending. It is still playing, acting as if everything is going exactly as it should, even though the other sounds are clearly interfering with its soft-spoken melody. It doesn't stop.

Then, it's over. Suddenly, with only the tiniest of warning from the jump in pitch at the end.

It's only then that you notice it. The deafening silence. The lack of that shy, quiet, yet constant piano. Something about the way it just suddenly stops, after continuing on and on, despite all the other sounds, is incredibly sad.
