Venting A slightly odd realization

I'm think I'm objectively on the attractive side.
And yet I've only ever dated one person.
When I was younger (middle school age) I got asked out more often (maybe around 5 times? although I turned them all down because I wasn't interested). But after starting highschool I stopped receiving confessions from classmates (except for 1 person, that was the 1 person I dated)
I wondered if maybe I somehow got uglier.
But I think what actually happened was that I haven't physically aged at all.
So when I was in middle school I looked my age and was attractive to people my age.
But now that I'm 19, I still look like a middle schooler so people my age are no longer attracted to me.
Ah but I've never stopped receiving attention from old men on the internet. A wonderful horrible form of validation. I wonder if the old men like me because I look so young.
Funny how that works. People my age aren't interested because I look too young but people even older are infatuated.
I try to tell myself I don't receive confessions because people are too scared. But actually it seems it's likely because I look 12 years old.
Or maybe I'm just actually ugly after all, who knows

You're probably not ugly at all. From older people, specially men, it must be the same affect as neoteny is for women. Some people like younger looks God knows why. Maybe because evolutively we were not made to life so much, and the younger ones were the most likely to still fertile for long. Of course it does not justify this horrible attention kids or kids look-alikes receive here online. I'm sorry you have to deal with it.

Oh yeah I definitely heard something like this before. Not ugly but you've just haven't physically aged much so people around you just haven't found that attractive I guess (besides older people disturbingly enough). Well on the bright side it means you'll still look young when your older I guess. Also I think at a certain age your face does start to change, idk when. I think early 20's? You're still a teen so, don't overthink it I'd say. My face has yet to change also, I'll give it to when I hit my 20's.
