Thus, if you were to heat peppermint oil, 1,8-cineole (eucalyptol) and limonene would be the first components to evaporate due to their lower boiling points.

Wouldn't take that as 100% fact, but if it's right you could get a ton of peppermint oil, heat to ~215 C and you'd get rid of 60-80% of the components, leaving the toxic pulegone. idk.
