Any advice on making sure I fall off the bridge after pulling the trigger? Right behind the ear, angled slightly towards my forhead as I don't trust aiming for the stem. Not a high bridge, around 50-70 feet, but it's rapid water.

I want to double dip.
I am calm, no flinch. I feel little. I tried to hang myself multiple times over an hour without fear.

I didn't get hallow point, went with recommended by staff despite my better judgement knowing otherwise.

Looking for tonight preferably.

That's what I've been thinking too, minus the bridge. The gunshot should be enough to kill, but there's drowning as a backup as long as you're in water.

Looking at a few hours from now at most, I'd appreciate any advice before then.

I'd think you could feel confident in success if you shot yourself in the head with a 9MM while standing (at least) waist deep in a body of water. Even if it doesn't kill you, the shot will render you physically incapacitated so that you would fall down and your submerged body would drown. Personally, I'd prefer that over standing on a bridge, as the physics of where you would fall from the velocity of the shot are hard to predict.

The water is too deep to do it like that here, and I have no reliable transport.

An alternative is to do it in the woods where I shouldn't be found for 8 hours at least.

I see that you have thought this through carefully, which I respect. A 9mm shot through the mouth, aimed slightly upward and centered, is very likely sufficient to kill you with or without a failsafe such as falling off a bridge. But it is not as certain to kill you as if you used a higher caliber handgun or a shotgun. If you do decide to use the 9mm, I'd recommend doing so in a remote area so that no medical responders could arrive to "assist" you before it's too late. Whatever your choice, I wish you the best on your journey.

Got a call from a family member and postponed so they won't have as much survivor's guilt. I'm planning on the night of the 5th now. Lazy sunday should nake sure people either sleep in or are busy at church. Planning on going into a usually untraveled part of the woods as the bridge I was thinking seems a bit hard to pull off. There's canines, they should be interested in a snack.
