I agree with you. It is all fleeting and pointless. But to be happy, it exists. I've seen it. I could have had it. You have to work at it. It obviously helps A LOT if you come from it. Have people guiding you on how to be in life. Not everyone gets that. Then there's all of us. We can't understand each other. They can't possibly see how we would want to end this. They want time to slow down!
It's unreal. Maybe we could have built a society where we all enjoy it. We didn't. Plus I've made mistakes I can't blame anyone for.
It was possible. We could have been them. We are not.
Yes, what you call happiness is actually an illusion, one of life's many. But all illusions fall, and when they fall, everything becomes more difficult. For every illusion of happiness in life, you pay with ten blows of suffering. This is why we are destined for existential checkmate.

I absolutely don't believe anyone in this world can be happy. If someone is happy in this world, it means they're not right in their head. What are family, career success, friends... it's all so fleeting and pointless.
I agree with all of this.

You're free to have your own perspective. You lived a life that shaped your thinking. However, I disagree with this because it affirms this life as the way things should be rather than the rigged game that it is. You're asking someone to look past all of the injustices and inequities of this life to affirm it as being basically good because a few people don't have it as bad. It, furthermore, invalidates the feelings of those who are being abused by it. This is kind of gaslighting, as it tries to convince people that they have a 'wrong' view of life. That their experiences are 'one offs' in the grand scheme of everything. And that's simply not true. Suffering is the feature, not the bug. Happiness is the bug, not the feature.

I'm not trying to attack. However, I had to express my disagreement with it. Respectfully.
