The painkillers are optional, AFAIK they're only for the headache resulting from lowered blood pressure. So if you're worried and can take a headache for 20 mins or so you can just not take them.

I guess the anti-emetic maybe helps with this.

I had to fast for 8 hours before keyhole surgery and they gave me codeine before that- but also, aneasthetic- so- I guess I wasn't awake enough to feel sick. 😆.

From my experience, it does upset my stomach a bit but that came with the amount I took (paracetamol, ibuprofen). Due to my illness that caused that much pain, I was forced to take 6-8 per day for almost a week. As with all meds, it is per person so you could test it beforehand

That's what I was thinking the AE should help.
