I think my voice on here is different to my voice in real life. But also very different to my voice when it comes to dating.
I elaborate quite often that my voice in German is quite different. I even created a thread about that.
I don't want that my English skills become even worse. Otherwise I would switch to writing my posts on here on German and then use a translator. But I really like watching English content and it is important to extend my vocabulary. Or at least preventing that is shrinks too much. With AI fast and very good translations for casual chats will become easier and cheaper. And then there is the new AI voices translation in Youtube. Even my friends who hate AI admitted it has made some progress. Personally, I am against this development. I like the original voices of the American Youtubers I watch too much. And all the idioms they use. You lose so much of the atmosphere and humor listening to it in a different language.
I wonder whether I was perceived differently on here using this translation approach. I could imagine the content I provide could become better and more nuanced. But if I used AI chatbots for translations my content might sound like slop and sort of generic.
There is also something many people on here will judge me for. Dating is really really bad for my mental health. It feels so horrible investing so much energy, time and passion into formulating good text messages. Improving your profile. And in most cases it turns out (at least when you are me that only fits to a small niche of people) that your effort was worthless. I rely on AI for dating a lot. ChatGPT has become astoninshingly good at imitating my voice, humor, idiosyncracies. And dating has become way less frustrating since I rely on AI feedback. Recently I had a few matches way more than usually.
If someone is really interesting to me I invest a lot of thinking and time into adapting my messages still. And I certainly don't take the first suggestion of an AI chatbot. I also have the feeling some AI chatbots give really really bad advices. Maybe for the kind of people I am interested in. But some suggestions are sometimes really weird. Before I automated many interactions getting ghosted felt ike someone leaves an empty whole inside yourself. Nowadays I just think yolo I used AI chatbots anyway in many cases. But I think I also have become less desperate. And often I realize that the chemistry is not good enough for relationship anyway. Personally, I almost never ghost women. I think that's bad for the algorithm. Usually I am in the one with the last message. Which can be bad for your self-worth. But not when you are using AI. Moreover, before relying on AI feedback. I had big issus becoming paranoid when chatting with women. I had psychosie. And since I am using AI feedback for texting the likelihood of becoming paranoid has decreased significantly. And this has spared me some really painful experiencess. Becoming paranoid in dating often made me really really suicidal. I still overthink way too much. But usually if the chatbot repeats that my logic is flawed after looking at it from 20 different angles I can often see that my thinking might be indeed biased.
I am still disappointed when I become ghosted by someone really interested. But in many instances I now think maybe stopping this contact saved both of us wasting a lot of time.
