If you were going to CTB, and were given the opportunity to stay in any hotel in the world for a week for free to do it in, which hotel would you pick and why?

Oh it is gorgeous Excellent choice! I'd want to CTB from the very top floor with the best view while the lights are all aglow at night (with N though ofc).

I think I would look for a hotel where your neighbors are unlikely to hear you- sometimes in hotels people take sn and there is some noise and the neighbors call for an ambulance and it doesn't work. So going on a quiet night would matter so that you have fewer neighbors- a big suite might help for containing sound. A suite with a whirlpool, for this background noise, might help

I found it ugly in person . It looks nice in the pic but it just seems tacky when you actually go there. Singapore is a smog infested neoliberal hell

The rooms are huge and the walls are old stone and not paper thin plaster like most hotels, unlikely that anyone would hear you.

I could have a nice hot bath in the tub overlooking the courtyard with a glass of SN + water before fading away.

Very nice. With everything we've been through, I do think making our final moments as comfortable and as pleasant as possible to suit what makes us each individually feel good and at ease is so important. I like that the building has it's own history. Somehow, I find that both comforting and majestic.
