  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Yesterday I was taking my garbage out.

The neighborhood is full of high-rise office buildings here in Tokyo, 30 storeys and up, tightly packed. I walked outside with the trash bag and see something or someone lying on the ground in front of a car.
At first my thought was this car had hit a jaywalker. As I'd come closer, I see the body already covered with a sheet of fabric. I couldnt see the upper body, only legs. It was an adult male.

I could see a splatter maybe 2 metre across, pink and ivory in color, as if you'd thrown a watermelon from a high place. The guy definitely went head-first and it was instant.

So surreal, I didn't feel any nausea or vertigo from seeing that. Came back home and did some calculations....
The rooftop of that building is 60 m. G-acceleration is 9.8 m/s. Time of fall 3.4 sec. Velocity 123 km/h (or 76 mph if you prefer).

In car accidents anything beyond 55 mph (if a truck hits you) is a sure death.
To this moment I still feel envy for this brave soul and hate myself for cowardice.....

Thank you for reading.....

Someone killed themself at the very tall APA hotel in Tokyo .

Tokyo is very macabre because the train information displays say like "train closed due to passenger injury "

But in reality those are suicides . I think a friend of mine told me there are like 20 suicides a day in Tokyo metropolitan area .

This is what happens when your natural wealth is siphoned off to the evil USA . Millions of hordes live on welfare in US while the Japanese citizens have to scrimp and save to prop up the bloated fat American lifestyles.
If the Japanese weren't having to prop up the US and could consume what they produce for themselves they would all be less stressed

Jumping sounds terrifying to me, I know that I could never ctb that way. We all deserve the option of a peaceful exit at a time of our own choosing, no one should have to resort to traumatic methods like jumping to end their pain. Rest in peace to those who are gone.

Is modern Japan "suicide tolerant" in the cultural sense?

Jumping if it works is probably less painful than methods that take a lot longer time to work, with jumping you are out in under ten seconds even from higher buildings.

It's suicide promoting . The culture has a long history with ritual suicide that continues to present day
