An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.
Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.
Yes. I think this is what most people wish for, apart from death.
Being able to do the things you like however much you want and whenever you want sounds so nice.
Hopefully this kind of world will become reality soon
From what you've written it sounds like you're pretty successful. I always subconsciously felt I would be content only if I found great success in life. But I don't think that's actually the case for me. I'd always be empty
I feel you. I had friends in college whose parents paid for their tuition and living expenses, and even paid their living expenses after college while they were job hunting. One even complained that her dad didn't buy her the car she wanted.
I know it's not a competition, but how can you have empathy for people who seem like they had everything handed to them when you had to work for everything yourself with no help :/
Being always empty sounds about right. When you hope for something enormously once you get the ground under your feet disappears and you have nothing, but emptiness. That's how actually feel about success however ungrateful this may sound. Education has been always an obsession for me. I think that's what you mean by having everything with no help from others. Since I was at high school all the way to my PhD I've been going from one relapse to another. Sounds like I had it easy, but it's nothing but. That means I'd fall apart every other season and, in order to carry on I had to pick up the pieces to somehow to move forward. But success has a price, either what people expect from you or what you expect from the image of yourself. I believe that being suicidal is in itself repeatedly failing to reach success. When my daughter was diagnosed with cancer (she's fine now), it was the first experience I had of watching death without trying to be its character. Sorry, I'm rambling. ì'll shut up now.

Oh no I didn't mean to say it sounds like you had everything handed to you, I was referring to another post. I'm sorry if that's how it came across.
I'm sure once you have more success there's higher expectations and more things that come with it that causes stress, the grass is always greener after all. I'm sorry to hear about your daughter, but I'm glad she's fine now
Would you want to be reincarnated if it was into a perfect utopian world, where everyone's basic needs were taken care of, and you only had to work if you wanted to?
So there is no chance of being born into poverty, or unwanted, and all mental/healthcare is free?
No work = no meaning, so a hard no, we live to struggle and get meaning from pushing through and learning from that struggle, if there is none then you end up with the modern Youth.
I think so. I think it'd be nice to experience life as it's 'supposed' to be, but also I want myself to experience happiness. I'd like to live a life where there's a me that's okay <3
For me the perfect utophia is to know that everything you work for gonna yield a result no matter how hard the work someone put into, in short, a hard world but fair
To gave you some example, im going to tell you my experience with souls game made by fromsoftware. All of their game are hard to beat and you have to gain some item, have a good knowledge about the boss attack pattern and also utilizing the game mechanic to it's fullest (or you can just summon your friend or stranger to help you defeated the boss) . The result? U finally beat this powerfull hard boss, gain a sense of achievment and probably gain some cool item/weapon/spell from the hard bosses you defeated.
Let's go back to real world, you can also work hard, utilize everything that you got to overcome the challenge that real life gave to you, and the result? Well i admited some people gain a massive improvement from their life, but there's a lot of people who either didn't change anything or they gain some prices from their hardwork BUT the prices isn't equal to the hard work that they put into and this happened in a lot of aspect to gave you a prime example, the field that a lot of people struggle with is getting six figure and dating. Ironicly, this's the reason why im mildly depressed and go to this forum in the first place
Summary: Do i want a utophia where everything is there for me without putting an effort? NO, cause i think that those kind of world would be boring. But i do like a world where everything you work for will be rewarded 100%
