Would you want a funeral?

I don't want a funeral. They're too expensive, and I don't like the idea of my body being there like an exhibition.

Although I don't think it's possible, people who have hanged themselves look very bad..

I don't see the point in a funeral because I will be forgotten in weeks most likely. I also don't want certain people to know I'm dead.

Absolutely not. I hate funerals because they show the hypocrisy of people who bother to go to a funeral when they have ignored you for most of their lives. Then secondly, I don't want money to be spent on a useless ritual that only serves to enrich the system. And I don't give a shit if some people think that funerals are there to help people get over their grief.

One the one hand I really don't see it as important regarding what happens to my body after I'm gone. I also do not under any circumstances want a funeral, but I get the feeling like I won't get much of a choice for myself in the matter.

On the other, I have some poetic notions about some putting hickory seeds in my mouth before burying me in the earth that grow into big, healthy trees. Coordinating that seems impossible though, so I suppose it will just have to remain a romantic thought.

I wish to be cremated. The family will spread the ashes somewhere so they will remember me. As they pass, so will the memories of me. I see no point to a funeral. I am dead. It is to late to see and visit me. I see no point of rock in a cemetery. Who will visit it two hundred years from now? So please, no grave stone.
