We all know how most humans are: selfish, sadistic, greedy, unable to empathize or show compassion, preying on vulnerable people, they like to complicate things and invent stuff full of nonsense like some rules/laws, overall humans are bad and cause lots of suffering one to another. You don't need much to realize this, have a look at history to realize how awful and destructive they are on a macro scale or expose yourself to humans for a long time, look at the news, hear others stories etc. on a micro scale. Not every human is like this, there may be good humans, but even the good ones who like doing good acts are doing so just to make themselves feel good and this is a harsh truth.
Humans make life much worse than it can be because they love suffering (unless it's happening to their own person, but damn, even then, they think that suffering is gonna make them strong and that it has a higher meaning and other neurotoxic vomit). But look, all our history we have been torturing each other for pleasure, we have been inflicting terror on one another for power, for the thrill or because we just wanted to do it. There are people who torture and kill just because they felt like doing it. There are people who torture and kill just because their imaginary god or demon or whatever told them so. How many people have died under this sky because of humans? How many people have suicided because of humans? I'm willing to bet it's over 90%.
I'm starting to think that life wouldn't be that bad if humans weren't like this. Sure, life would still suck: law of entropy, asymmetry of good and bad, suffering would still be inevitable, but without the useless suffering that humans like to inflict on each other think how it would be. Think about it: instead of violence and sadism, humans would manifest acceptance and friendship towards each other. Instead of being selfish, materialistic and possessive, they would share stuff with others who are poor and help each other. Like we see these ''wholesome'' posts all over the internet and they celebrate it and cherish it like the second coming of Jesus but why can't these species make it a daily reality?? Think how easier life would be this way.
When I was learning Sociology in high school I learnt that in hunter gatherers times those who were unfit to do anything weren't cast away from the group instead those who were the fittest would bring food even for those unfit. Nowadays if someone is slightly different we like to throw them, figuratively speaking, in the trash bin.
Well that's it I guess. I'm sorry for any typos or incoherence, I'm tipsy right now. My post may sound dumb and honestly my idealistic teenager ass could have written this but I'm just really wondering especially considering what happened to me these days.
Edit: My stance on this is that since humanity is almost my main reason to suicide, if they were the opposite of what they are now my suicidal feelings would decrease from over 100% to about 20% maximum, this 20% would consist only of the way life objectively is which has nothing to do with humanity.
