Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Hello!

In this thread, 'tadoma' (RIP) used a setup similar to the one you have planned:

Full Suspension Hanging on a stairwell

To know if it's a safe anchor point, you need to test it. Tie the rope to it and use your full weight to hang from the rope with your hands. Repeat this a few times. The structure should not show any changes or make any strange noises. Check that it is strong and sturdy, and that nothing is loose or damaged.

The barrier up for a FSH or even the stairs for a PSH both seems OK

I sadly cannot test it yet as I'm looking at airbnbs where I could find an anchor point : ( it sucks in this economy
Would it be okay for me to ask that uu DM me? I can't seem to be able to DM uu, I'm just curious about asking some advice on different anchor points @JesiBel

Oh, I see, sorry, I thought it was a current photo of the chosen place.

Testing is an important step that should always be done to ensure everything goes well. Even if the anchor point looks sturdy at first glance.

I think that discussing a method via DM would count as "personalized help/advice" and is not allowed.

If you find it more convenient and safe, you could perhaps create a thread in the private subforum to discuss different anchor points (like a megathread). I think it would be a good option and more users could help or even suggest other anchor points that no one has considered.

There are several users on the forum who also have knowledge about this method; it would be beneficial if they could also interact.
