Imagine tomorrow everyone would decide to never procreate again. Even if someone was pregnant she would decide for abortion. What would happen for the last generation? I think the economy would soon collapse. Capitalism needs work slaves. The pension system would be destroyed. If this would happen very apbruptly it might backfire for the current generation.
On the other hand I think when humans learn more and more about science and reach progress many people will decide to stop procreation. In very well developed countries the birth rate is very low. If artificial intelligence will take over a lot of work the generation that reduces/stops procreation will have less disadvantages. However I think there will always be humans that want to procreate. Even if it the child has a horrible future. WIth the climate crisis it might have a very bad future
In my country there are a lot of new climate antinatalists. Which is good.
