Do you consume edibles much? It could help with SI but depending on what strain youre taking and dosage, could cause paranoia/anxiety/depression or make you feel happy, lol. Sativas are energizing and can increase anxiety. Indicas are calming. Maybe find a good hybrid edible. And dont take too much

Neither. Weed doesn't have that effect. At least it didn't for me when I used to smoke it. Now, maybe try some PCP or something and you most likely won't have to worry about the SI when thinking about jumping off a cliff.

Hey @Weebster .....@downndone2 is spot on. Do a dry run and see how you feel. Think about your method, how you'll do it, what you'll feel like as you do it. Think about all you have to consider/worry about while on the edible. It may give you a preview of how you'll feel on the actual attempt. I'd rather a negative scenario occur while I contemplate vs my actual ctb date.

Idk if weed would reduce my SI directly but it definitely would make my paranoia go off the charts and assume the worst will happen if I live, which in turn create more pressure for me to do it and overcoming SI easier. Depends on the person and your motives for wanting to ctb.

Impossible to tell really... I wouldn't count on it everyone kinda reacts different (for me no strain of weed would help overcome SI). Ketamine I think could help as it almost feels like being on third person or like your body is robotic IE you dissociate, but some people lose their suicidal ideation while on Ketamine as well so...

Alcohol too I would imagine is more likely to allow you to do something like that compared to weed. I am still convinced my death will involve a mix of alcohol and benzos, nothing kills the anxiety like them.

I feel like weed would make suicide scary as fuck and I'm always surprised when people use it before. That's just me though. It would make me want to listen to music and die another day.

Benzos would make jumping easier. Numbs you out.

Good advice. I'll do it. I was going to take a couple Tramadol but I don't want to die feeling nausea

Even with indica which is said to be calming?

Honestly it's impossible to predict how you would react to it, it affects different people in different ways. I suggest you experiment a little and find whatever strain puts you in the right mindset and headspace for it.

Yes.

Depends on the strain and dose though. I find if I smoke enough, weed causes me to become totally disconnected from my body and reality - to where I don't exist and this world and reality are but one possibility amongst infinite realities. Everything is a game, simulation etc and my 'avatar' has reached the end of its 'mission' or whatever obstacle course some higher powers have dropped my consciousness into. I experience thoughts as my soul or real self rather than my usual persona or interpretation of them, the latter of which is warped by my physical constraints.

SI is 100% gone. I am calm and ready to start over (I believe that the soul reinhabits another creature's body once its former host dies. the possibility of reincarnating as a plant is somehow soothing to me). If I was on the edge of a cliff I could simply walk off.

There is also the lingering paranoia that I have truly gone mad and I will remain in this state of insanity for the rest of my natural life if I do not end it now. But it's all mental. Self talk. You determine the primary outcome based on how you channel your thoughts. This is true whether high or sober - but when high, the mind is more fluid and easily mouldable. Double edged sword re anxiety or calming yourself.

I got paranoid on edibles. I don't know what strain it was. I felt i

Edibles have a very different high to smoking. I used to enjoy them but eventually my experiences were all negative

Smoking can be negative too, but the onset is rapid - easy if your method is jumping, hanging etc. For a method that may take more time, or if you want to be sober for the early stages of the plan (eg it involves travel or some other cognitively complicated task) - an edible may be preferable. Only if you can't bring the weed with you and smoke it once you're ready. The onset time and effects with edibles are too variable to rely on in a critical situation such as this.

That's disappointing. It's a long walk to the bridge. I thought I would eat it on the way.

Why can't you smoke before you jump?

Edibles take anywhere from 30 to 120 min to take effect. The comeup is more gradual than smoking; the high - theoretically - lasts longer. I've had some smoke highs whose durations were just as long.

Depending how long that walk is, I would eat it 10-60min before setting out.

I really don't know anything about PCP, only what I've heard anecdotally. I appears it makes you hallucinate and for some, makes them feel like they can "fly", and some try to do just that. Google it if you want to know more. I've never taken it and NEVER would!
