I think a Firearm will be my preffered method to CTB. It seems painless and quick from what I know. However I live in a U.S state that has heavy gun control laws, and the process seems like a hassle. I could currently buy a modern muzzle loader online with no license, waiting period, and backround check. My main concern is just the firepower, im sure point blank to the head would be the same as a modern day firearm, but just wanted to make sure.
