As for whether or not it would be a good day is entirely your choice. Personally, I hate the day. So much. There is this poetry magazine I'm subscribed to and even they are sending me emails about world suicide prevention day. My social media is flooded with people sharing posts about suicide prevention. All of it makes me want to crawl into a hole or disappear..

Here in Spain 10 people die a day and more than 20 try. I think there are more.

World suicide prevention day is just toxic positivity and platitudes that do not help anybody. We deserve a right to die, a peaceful exit on our own terms. I see prevention methods as just prolonging suffering. Some people do not want to suffer for decades and many have decided that their lives are simply not worth living. It can be a perfectly rational decision. In my case, any day is a good day to ctb. The day I finally leave this world will be the best day of my life.

I used to work in a psych ward until my most recent suicide attempt. Apparently even psychiatric professionals cant spot a suicidal person right in front of them, but I see all of them posting for suicide awareness day. I just want to comment on all of their posts asking where they were when I tried to ctb.

Didn't even know it was today. Only realised it was when the radio was talking about NHS staff allowing relatives of patients (despite patient confidentiality laws) to know if there patient is or feeling suicidal. Apparently that's not confidential when it comes to the law.
