I come from a blended family. My parents were widowed with children when they married, and my mom wanted four kids. That's why I'm here.
Then a couple years later she died. After that my dad was desperate to marry again and picked the wrong woman. Then he picked another woman who wasn't as bad.
I can't help but wonder that if I hadn't been born he would've lived a longer, healthier life.
Boy did I go off on a tangent. I wouldn't sue my parents, or their doctor. I just wish they'd made different choices.

I wouldn't sue my parents either but it's just crazy and kinda cool that this girl won her case.

How I wanted this to become a norm. Fact that most parents are so scumbags that they should even be legally punished for having kids.

I wouldn't sue my parents cuz they aren't evil, they are just too ignorant (like most humans) to comprehend that suffering comes alongside life. I can't blame people who aren't capable enough to understand the true outcomes of their own choices. They have been conditioned to think life is always good because thinking otherwise is a crime against the herd (society).

There is a man in India who sued his parents for giving birth to him, knowing world is a terrible place and choosing to be irresponsible. He has a yt channel and I believe he still posts there. But yeah, if none of us were born, we wouldn't have to go through hassle of trying to kill ourselves or fight to survive in this unjust world.

Existence itself is the cause of all suffering, and it can be horrible living with health problems, so it is understandable why she did that. By never existing, it means you are incapable of suffering. People must be very delusional to see it as a good thing to bring human beings into a world like this.

Just now thinking about all the forced births that will soon be taking place in Texas and states that follow Texas' lead. Here's hoping that in the coming years there are more lawsuits from people who were forced into existence only to be put into foster care.

I mean, sure the parents are retarded but he hasn't fallen that far from the tree. The parents most likely are struggling to live and he just made their lives 100x worse by suing them, they most likely had kids so they could have someone to fund and take care of their old selves

There is point he wanted to make, and you failed to notice. Yes, he might have made their lives worse, but that is not the point. They could have easily not have him. What parents don't understand is that once they agree to have a kid, they agree to having a kid that is autistic, disabled, ungrateful, a serial killer, a drug addict or whatever that will make their lives worse.

If they were struggling even before, they shouldn't have had him in the first place.

Important to note that she didn't had to sue her mother, she sued the doctor. So it's a double win. Hehe.

I know what he wanted to do, make an example for others to follow, unfortunately he didn't do that as those who are impoverished and have 30 children don't understand English and wouldn't stumble across him and even if they do they will tell themselves "wow that boy is spoilt, at least my children wont be like him" (Which they'll say it in their native languages)

I would sue my parents. I don't know my dad too well and my mom is too callous to be a good mother to a sensitive person like me.

That is true. Unfortunately, people who need to hear those things and think deeply about them the most of everyone, most likely never will, or just won't be able to and it's a very sad thing.

I think that it's irresponsible to procreate when you haven't sufficient resources to ensure you can adequately care for the child, or if your health is bad/you are not a responsible type of person.
I know this as I'm the result of two irresponsible people being careless, and I've suffered for it.
At least my Mum gave her best. It wasn't enough, unfortunately, but at least she tried.

At a certain level however procreation is almost like rape- a child cannot consent, therefore bringing one into the world can never be considered a moral act, just as having sex with someone who can't consent (such as a minor) cannot be considered moral.

(Sorry, can't seem to use the 'quote' system properly, probably my weird browser.)

Actually, no, that's a bit presumptuous. His mother is a lawyer and supported the case because she found it interesting. Unfortunately it was thrown out of court by the judge so we never got to hear both sides of the legal arguments.

I'm glad the other woman won, it's a small step. I wish it would become the norm, I would certainly sue mine, they are two people who should never have had kids. My dad never wanted kids, but apparently not enough to bother about contraception. My mother did it to 'trap' him - and it worked, they had a shotgun wedding and she got her man. Unfortunately then, there was me as well, who neither of them wanted and had just been a means to an end for her.
