I used to love this song when I was at uni. I played it over and over. I wasn't totally sure what it meant- I assumed it was about a romantic partner but, something in it resonated with me. I suppose- being in emotional turmoil! Lol. I was just about to experience limerence the first time.

I think I probably liked it all this time because it's a 'no win' description. I probably see life that way now. Whatever choice I made or make now, I can't see it making me happy. With or without a partner, with or without a career- every choice has it's own problems.
