Is it something like "reality shifting" as for me i never went past normal lucid dreams and I'd like to leave my body permanently, I'll appreciate it if you could share for tips
This is not as crazy an idea as you might think. There are a number of ways to leave the body (including permanently) without dying a normal physical death. Most modern western people just tend to not know about or believe in any of it.

I thought about researching this and writing a nice post about it sometime but I wasn't sure how it'd be received.

I'm going to start trying the techniques. It's like even though I have access to a ctb method I'm just wanting to will myself to be dead. I'm begging for a competent soul to take over. 😭😭 I want to leave so bad, I hate that people want me here even though I feel I haven't really done anything for them.

Also, in some schools of thought, talking about such things in an open, direct way around people who don't believe in them actually makes them less likely to work. That's an icky problem and something I've seen true with spiritual/metaphysical things in my own life. If that's the case it'd be better to find a different place to talk about these things. It's a little weird and disorienting to think about.
Interesting. Which schools of thought? Like specific traditions? Ive never heard of this before. Super intrigued by this. Thanks for sharing about it.

It's both an intuition I've developed over time (simply based on watching events in my life unfold) as well as something I've heard echoed by a number of people. I'm not aware of any spiritual tradition that doesn't admit, if not emphasize outright, that belief in what can happen affects outcomes.

Essentially, the idea is that while we all exist in the world together, the world is enmeshed in nested "fields of belief". There is a global field of belief that affects the entire planet, there is one for each culture/civilization, and there is an individual field for each person as well.

Each field of belief acts like a magnet. It attracts and repels the other fields based on the beliefs they contain. The more two people/groups/cultures have in common, they more they can interact without changes in belief occurring.

This means that, for example, if there are two friends and one believes he can heat and cool his body using only his breath, and the other friend doesn't believe it, then one of two things will happen:
1) The first friend will try to show his friend his abilities, but will be unable to do so when the moment arrives. Sadly, if this happens this is likely to diminish his beliefs in his own abilities, even if he's already seen them work. Or, he may be prevented from showing his abilities in some other way.
2) The first friend, perhaps wisely, never mentions or tries to show his friend his abilities, yet he retains the full ability to do so in private.

(On very rare occasion, a third thing can happen: a "miracle", in which an event only possible in a less dominant field of belief pokes through into the more dominant field of belief.)

In the case of the first point above, what is happening is an unfortunate case of what I have heard called "the universe conspiring to preserve a field of belief". If a person tries to "prove" that something from an outside field is possible through force, the universe somehow makes sure it won't happen. (The date of the "proving" gets pushed back again and again. An accident occurs to one of the individuals involved. One or both parties lose interest. The person presenting the miracle is unable to do so. Or something else. There are a million ways this "prevention" can happen.)

Before I knew this, I was a lot more loose about what I tried to share with people. Now I'm a lot more conservative because I care a lot more about having possibilities in my life than trying to impress people.

I tried to find an essay I read a while back that explained it really nicely, but I couldn't find it. It talked about a place in the (Himalayas, I think?) where people commonly see shadow people. They're just like another "animal" in the environment, but nobody believes this until they go and live with them. You have to "step into their world" (their field of belief) in order to witness these shadow people. This essay touches on this concept a bit less directly, though, and it's an interesting read.

I won't pretend I fully understand this concept. I don't really get how all people are paradoxically in the world together at once and at the same time living in their own little reality. It's an intuition I've picked up over time and heard others mention, but that doesn't mean I always know what to do with it in practice. It's actually one of the biggest things I'm exploring/pondering in life right now. By sharing openly on SaSu (an predominantly atheist/agnostic materialist space) about these alternate methods of "premature death through spiritual means" or whatever we want to call them, I might be making them less likely to work. It could be better to simply let the few who are meant to find these methods find them on their own. I don't know.

Ugh, I even have hesitation about posting this, but hopefully most skeptics here on the second page won't read, won't care, etc. Lol.

I've tried manifesting my death since I was 13. For the past 8 years, every birthday wish, every 11:11, making wishes on dandelions, making wishes on fallen eyelashes, shooting stars, etc. I always wish to die. I used to pray for death every night too, but now I don't pray really ever. I believe in manifestation, but I'm still here so I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong lol.

This makes total total sense to me. Fields of belief that create sections of reality. We can never know what other people actually experience as reality. We have limited ability to discuss what we experience as language is limiting. As are senses. Some people would say different realities are created by our conditionings anyway. But what you're saying is far deeper, that our 'matrix' is created by our beliefs. It explains why the energy of eg Hawaii is v different from mainland US, or India different from UK. Despite sharing many common culturally identified people in the population.

It makes sense within this that non-believers could dilute down the actions of manifestation of believers. They weaken the field and the Universal potential within it becoz they pull from the energy of the field the Universe has created. The field as it is structured in this vicinity is less potent.

I think wrt to posting on this forum you are strengthening the field in this area. There are many v deeply spiritual people here. Ive had lots of amazing convos, and some incredibly deep and debated threads. In fact ive actually had the best convos and discussions here of any in my life. Ive learn, been challenged in my understanding and thinking, been absolutely engrossed in others views and wisdom. So you are adding to this. So many people are seeking an ending that is not an enforced act at their own hand. Why do they doubt the compassion of this? Many are still impacted by doubt as to whether its viewed as ok on many levels. This thread is adding to the support of all these people. Spiritually sure, questioning, uncertain or unconvinced. What you are offering is going to strengthen the field of belief.

We are a v open and accepting forum. I dont think people would be so anti as to negate the positive energy generated.

I certainly always hope to improve the vibration and open the fields of possibility anywhere I go, including SaSu. Thanks for sharing. 🙂

If you grew up in a suitable culture, learn the right technics and exercise it for years, you may become able to control your vagetative system. Than you can slow down your vital functions like heartbeat and breathing, like some animals do in order to survive temporarly a hostile environment. I could imagine, that you could even stop your heratbeat forever, there is no contadiction to the laws of nature. But I cannot imagine that your mind or soul will leave your body, it will just end to exist.

if you could do things by thinking hard enough about them, none of us would be in the position we're in, lol.

I wasn't sure what you meant in the OP by "projecting death onto yourself". Is this an idea you came up with on your own or did you hear about it somewhere? If it's an actual technique then you'll have to let me know for my curiosity's sake and (potentially) a future thread's sake.

I'll DM you about the couple of techniques/practices I know of. I feel hesitant to talk about them publicly until I've thought about and asked around a bit more about how people feel. I know a lot of people on SaSu don't believe in souls and so I'm not sure what the reaction would be, or how people would try to use it, or if it's a bad idea for me to talk about it for some reason I haven't considered yet.
Hi, could you DM me those techniques as well please? Or some keywords so I can look it up myself 🙂
