I'm planning on doing full suspension in the near future. My anchor point is a shower curtain rod that's secured to the wall. Would it hold the weight of my body during the suspension process? I'm using a carabiner for the hook (I can't tie knots plus it holds like 2000+ lbs) with a metal wire to loop on my neck. So my plan is to hook the carabiner to the shower curtain rod, add the metal wire (it's non breakable), then place the wire on my neck and step off the chair. Will this work? The rod is roughly 80 inches from ceiling to floor and I'm roughly 60 inches tall.

Can you do pull ups on the rod? Can you put your hands on it and hang from it, swing back and forth?

Probably not. Look for a stronger mount.
You have a greater chance of dying when you fall into the tub after it fails.

At least I'd be dead. Besides I don't really have a stronger mount. :(

They are usually only screwed into the wall at best. Extremely unlikely to take your weight! GPE made good suggestions of how to test it.
Metal wire around your neck? Thought you wanted to do full suspension? Sounds more like you'd decapitate yourself (if you find something that will take your weight) & if the curtain rod falls down you might have cuts on your neck from the wire which would make it hard to hide that you'd failed an attempt.

For sure strength test it. What if it doesn't fall right away, and only does so after hypoxia has set in? If the noose loosens once you fall it could let you get oxygen again, and then brain damage but still alive.

Why do you have to use this anchor point?

If you don't have a better one in your apartment, then you should look for another place.

In the house or outside, in the immediate vicinity, in a park, in a forest, .....

Or look for another method.

If it's anything like my shower curtain rod, it'll be far too weak.

the wire I'm using is galavanized steel cable. It's been sanded down till it's smooth then it's coated with plastic. So it's very smooth.

Too poor for any other method. I'll do some thinking this weekend. I'm just so desperate. Depression is a b*tch.

Even if you don't have the money for another method, you still have to perform the chosen one correctly to protect yourself from even worse circumstances.

When hanging, the most important point is the anchor point, which you probably don't have with your shower curtain rod. You either check the shower curtain rod as suggested, or you look for something better. You can't force stability.

You mentioned the stability of your carabiner, so you are aware of the strain. But you mustn't forget that a chain is only as stable as its weakest link

If you can't find anything better outside of the apartment, then you have to get creative and build something in the apartment. Placing a iron bar or wooden beam over two closets or doors is better than your pole

You're going to have to test it, like people have already said. You need to know if it will hold before you make any attempt. If it doesn't, you could always use a doorknob - I don't mean partial suspension, but fastening the rope to the doorknob and slinging it over the door to the other side and do full suspension from there. Or go out into a wooded area and find a tree.
