No, I'm not a minor but I'm worried about this site. I'm scared that it will follow the same path as ask.fm. For those who don't know, ask.fm was a popular site where people could post questions to someone and then have them answer anonymously. After the suicides of two teenagers who were bullied relentlessly, advertised pulled out of the site and it shut down temporarily. It exists now but is essentially dead as no one uses it.

I hope the death of a minor doesn't force police in some country to hunt down the administrators. That would really suck. But then again, the idea of a "sanctioned suicide" website will probably live on and it will get set up on the Dark Web.

Minors should not be on this website, it is the responsibility of the parents to monitor what children are doing on the internet. There is nothing wrong with this website, it supports the right to die and that is very important. The problem is that the society tries to force us to live. It is our life and our decision after all.

also, the website clearly states that minor aren't allowed to subscribe in the first place. So there are no minors here. The moderation can't control any better than this.

There are several ways, it depends on where the site is being hosted. You have two main aspects to a website. You have the domain name that points towards the hosting company and the hosting company contains all the data for the website. It can get more complicated than that as some websites will pull from other resources. The rest is up to hosting guidelines, what agency is contacting the above two entities and whether they have jurisdiction or political power there. I am sure there is more to it but that at least something to get you started.

sci-hub gets shutdown every once in a while but then comes back on a new domain. I don't know if that would work with a forum system but maybe the principle is the same.

Short answer, yes, at least for a while. That piece of shit Stormfront was shut down, but it's back now. What happens is whoever hosts the site gets pressure to cancel the contract, and the site shuts down. It's not the end of the world - you just need to find a new hoster. A lot of times, sites hosted in the US wind up moving off shore.

Let me put this in context - Stormfront is basically a radicalization site pushing for some kind of race war. The site is full of white christian supremacists, who hate everyone who is not white, christian, straight, and a baby factory. Extremely misogynistic, consider women property and inferior to men.

You don't hear anything about them anymore.

There is more than one way the website could go down- I'm not going to post details because I don't want to give anyone ideas, but I do think that there are factors that could end this webiste. If you folllow all the threads you will see there is a lot of pressure now, and people will hang in there as long as they can I am sure.
