As the title asks. Will it help numb the mind?

I take propranolol since years for my heart and it works well to lower the heart rate, but I don't think it will numb your mind. Choose benzos instead. It kicks your mind quickly. I take valium and it does the job for my anxiety (it gives drowsiness after 30 mn but it's better than being in severe anxiety)

It's prescribed for social anxiety and stage fright as a secondary use, but like the poster above said it won't do anything for your mind. Just reduces the unpleasant physical symptoms of anxiety.

Taken in higher doses (100mg+), it tends to have a sedating effect, but how sedating appears to vary from person to person, and the effect may not last long.

Enough propranolol can render you unconscious, but taking high levels of propranolol can damage your kidneys if done repeatedly.

I don't think so, unless not feeling your heart racing would decrease your SI. Maybe?

no propranolol lowers only physical symptoms of anxiety, thing of it as a notification that when received right the brain can also get calm, however when in heightened anxiety/panic your brain needs something more potent, i once tried 10mg of prazepam and it didn't get the job done can you imagine, the main reason is it's on the weaker side of benzos and takes longer to kick in, but using a more potent benzo can make it hard to go with the plan as it's very sedating

Propranolol on its own dosnt do much, I often take 1 or 2 40mg tabs together with 1 x 5mg valium when im anxious. It seems to increase the effects of the valium.
